If you weren’t at this year’s Taste of Cape Town, you missed out on the delights of Bombay Sapphire’s Winter Gin Garden.
A celebration of local Cape Town design talent, this winter wonderland was the result of a collaboration between Bombay Sapphire, Pauline Irvine of Artymiss, and design duo Thingking, and served as a relaxing area where guests could unwind and let their imaginations run wild.
The extraordinary and intricate laser-cut paper designs of Artymiss covered the walls of the stall, with dancing ballerinas and jungle wildlife surrounding the visitors as they eased into their Bombay Sapphire cocktails on Thingking’s Garden Bench.
Thirst Bar Services provided the delicious cocktails—like the “Falling In Love Again”, infused with fila tea and rhubarb syrup, and served in a console jar—and with a few imaginative tips, courtesy of the bar team, visitors could take their console jars home to use with their own imaginative cocktails.
Our Bombay Sapphire bar team was kept busy the whole weekend, and the Garden was a marvel for all those who visited.
