Eric Todd Homemade Sauces is a range of all-natural, locally sourced products that brings an exciting new flavour sensation to your table, straight from the heart of the Elgin Valley in the Western Cape, with a secret recipe passed on through close friends.
Cow Africa was asked to help Eric Todd with a PR and social media campaign to raise awareness of the range. At its core, Eric Todd is all about natural flavor, so the obvious objective was to get people tasting and experimenting with the range!
We created gift packs containing 4 variants, which were given to key food and lifestyle media and renowned foodies on Twitter. The challenge was to create delicious dishes using each of the sauces and post their results with the #TastiestTweet.
The campaign ran for 2 months and created a lot of interaction with the brand on Twitter, gaining them more than 100 new followers. Our participants outdid themselves with new recipe suggestions and tantalising photos.
Our top #TastiestTweet fans, including Mr Cape Town, Relax with Dax, the Food Fox and Boring Cape Town Chick, were rewarded with their very own named Chilli Vine on the Eric Todd Farm – making them part of the Eric Todd family.
The #TastiestTweet challenge also brought the brand onto the radar of new potential distributors in the Western Cape.
