Bacardi – Up the Creek Music Festival

The Brief:

Bacardi wanted to celebrate their Founder’s Day and sponsor an event where they could bring their “Together” platform to life.

What we did:

Cow secured a sponsorship of the Up The Creek music festival and worked together with Bacardi to create a legendary weekend.

We developed the Bacardi Iceberg, a dangerously icy cocktail in answer to Up the Creek’s traditional Titanic drink. We set up a shaded Bacardi Batcave and hosted a series of entertaining activities such as branded Twister, drinks-activated Together fans to beat the heat and unique Together river floats for groups of friends to enjoy.

A Mojito Meeting Point in the middle of the campsite served as a venue for thirsty attendees to sample the new Bacardi Mojito Ready To Serve. To capture all the fun, we had a roaming photographer taking ‘Together snaps’ of festivalgoers for Facebook and Twitter.

The result:

Bacardi outsold all other spirits at Up the Creek 2012 and the Bacardi Iceberg did the same in the cocktail category. Apart from numerous tweets and Facebook comments, we also attracted coverage from various online and print publications, such as Texx And The City, Channel24, Getaway, MK, Wat Kyk Jy and more.
