We were tasked with getting the youth interested in banking through an online and mobile presence for Capitec Bank. Easier said than done!
What we did:
We created an online/ mobile quiz called the Youth Prosperity Survey and made it interactive using a next-level Flash website featuring bold design and fun illustrations. Covering youth-centric topics like fashion, dating and transport, the quiz incentivized youth to open a Capitec account by demonstrating how a savings account could help them achieve their goals. To promote the quiz, we used Google AdWords, Facebook ads, email, MMS and mobile banners.
Our results were impressive – especially considering our relatively small budget – achieving more than 5.3 million impressions in 2 weeks. This created a strong digital awareness for Capitec Bank, significantly contributing to a fresh, youthful image of the brand.
